About
The WiRe-Women in Research fellowship program from the University of Münster is happy to offer WiRe Fellowships again.
These are for international women who have finished their PhD and want to do research. WiRe started in 2018 to help women in research, especially those who are postdocs.
During the fellowship, researchers work with a professor at the University of Münster in Germany. Women from all research areas at the university can apply.
WiRe Fellowships let women researchers from other countries work on their projects for 4 to 8 months, supported by the University of Münster. They can get more funding for up to a year if they find extra support. Selected WiRe Fellows get to explore new research ideas and get help from mentors and workshops for women in Münster.
Research can happen in Münster or from home, for family or research reasons.
WiRe – Women in Research also focuses on talking about research. We work with our fellows to find new ways to explain research and show what life as a researcher is like. WiRe Fellows are role models for future women researchers.
Applications are open for research projects in 2025 from the University of Münster’s International Office, Dep. for Researchers & Staff.
